Sean & Melissa

I got another great opportunity to photograph an epic wedding at the Millstone at Adam’s Pond with my good friend Dave Gilbert. Sean and Melissa decided to do a first glance which allowed Dave & I to capture the intimate first moments as Sean saw Melissa in her dress for the first time, plus we were able to do tons of pictures before the wedding, allowing us to get the couple to their guest as quick as possible after the ceremony and still capture some great images.
Some of my favorite photo are from a little cigar break that Sean & Melissa enjoyed during the reception!

Jamie & James are such an easy-going, fun couple. We took Jamie’s bridal portrait at the USC Horseshoe.
The wedding and reception were held at The Hall on Canal & Senate. I love the look of The Hall at night so we snuck away for a few moments at the reception to take some fun and unique portraits outside.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

I was proud to be part of a few breast cancer awareness events in October including a fundraising effort called the Pink Glove dance with Lexington Medical Center.
The Pink Glove dance is a competition sponsored by Medline between hospitals around the country to see who can make the best dance video to win money towards their favorite breast cancer charity. I had the pleasure of photographing the “grand finale” dance where a large group of Lexington Medical Center employees came together to dance for charity! It was a close race but Lexington Medical got 1st place with 61,000 votes for their video out of more than 100 submissions! You can view the video at: www.pinkglovedance.com – my daughter actually snuck in front of the cameras while I was taking pictures and she’s the little girl with the glowsticks near the end!
/>I also got to be a part of the 2011 Women’s Night Out breast cancer awareness and education event. Before the actual event, several LMC employees who are breast cancer survivors themselves were treated to a shopping trip at Belk complete with a personal shopper and even a runway coach! Later at the banquet, they strutted their stuff and enjoyed a great speaker, Emory Austin, a breast cancer survivor and motivational speaker. Some pictures from the Belk trip and the Women’s Night Out event are below.
