I knew that Jonelle & Keith’s wedding would be fun after we had our engagement session at Irmo Park.

Not only are they both stunningly photogenic but they’re super easy going and totally in love.

You could feel the family and community support of this couple at their wedding at Potter’s Christian Life Center. A special moment was when Jonelle’s dad, the paster at Potter’s Christian Life Center came up and said a few words of support and encouragement during the ceremony.

The beautiful reception was held at the Columbia Conference Center.

2011 Wedding Highlights

I wanted to put together a Best of 2011 Weddings post, but I ended up with TONS of pictures. I’ve had some great couples and some amazing locations. Each wedding was more inspiring then the next. Here’s a few highlights of my personal favs-

Palmetto Bluff is an adorable resort between Charleston and Savannah and it was the perfect location for Amy & Michael’s intimate wedding. We started with a first glance moment and a few photos outside of the couple’s cottage which overlooked the river and marshland. The ceremony was held in the Waterside chapel and a beautiful 5 course dinner followed in the Palmetto Bluff Inn’s basement wine cellar.

Jonelle and Keith are getting married in 2012 but we took some time before year is over to do their engagement photos are Irmo Town Park.

Sean & Melissa

I got another great opportunity to photograph an epic wedding at the Millstone at Adam’s Pond with my good friend Dave Gilbert. Sean and Melissa decided to do a first glance which allowed Dave & I to capture the intimate first moments as Sean saw Melissa in her dress for the first time, plus we were able to do tons of pictures before the wedding, allowing us to get the couple to their guest as quick as possible after the ceremony and still capture some great images.

Some of my favorite photo are from a little cigar break that Sean & Melissa enjoyed during the reception!

Sean is the owner of Southern Valet http://southernvalet.com/ , so of course, his team provided top-notch transportation around Adam’s Pond. If you’d like to see the rest of the highlights, check them out on Dave’s facebook page.
